Slime

After all the rain we've had over the past six weeks I wasn't surprised to find several good slime moulds this morning. This Coral slime mould was the pick of the bunch, just a couple of centimetres out of a slime mould that was almost 30 centimetres long. Its a Ceratiomyxa species probably Ceratiomyxa fruticlosa, sometimes called the Coral or Honeycomb slime mould.
