Honesty

I think that honesty is a good quality and I try to be honest. But we are all duplicitous  when we need to be. I’ll give you an example. I once had a date with a lady who wore a paper flower above her ear. For whatever reason, I did not find this appealing.  At the bar/restaurant she asked me: “Do you like my flower?’ I said, ”It’s lovely,” while wondering if my nose was changing shape. In a way it was a signal to me that we were not very well matched. And so it proved.
