A good day

Husband was away over night and I needed to be in London at the Excel centre this morning. Thankfully, all worked out well, boys were a dream and I had plenty of time to get the train. Went on the Elizabeth line for the first time, which is also a dream and so quick! 

Great day with colleagues, including a nice lunch. Gorgeous an earlier than expected train home, which meant time for a quick shop to pick up a few things. Walked past the old John Lewis store, once a mecca for basically a anthing that was needed and normally included a cup of tea in the cafe. Many hours have been spent watching the world go by from the balcony (in the picture), sad to see it all closed up.
