Chatsworth House
Today's fun took place at Chatsworth House, the home of the Duchy of Devonshire. And it was fun, despite the almost constant rain as we plodded round the garden (entrance fee £15.50 each). This gave us a view of the famous cascade, Victorian rock garden, maze and the Emperor Fountain, main photo, as seen from the canal side.
Extra photo of the famous bridge over the Derwent in actual sunshine, with approaching cloud.
The macs are hanging up, the brollies dripping in the shower/wet room and we're warm and cosy in our little cottage.
I edited yesterday's blip, adding a reference to Guggle Jugs, as seen on the Wirksworth market.
