Making Butterflies

Long day again: Up early for another gym session, then work, and an afternoon walk with P. 
More work afterwards, and an hour of gardening. 

On our way to the farm shop, we saw these two orange tip butterflies… …let’s say, courting. The picture isn’t perfectly in focus, but I like how you can see the female raising her abdomen to signal her approval to the male.

I have seen both male and female orange tips on many of my recent walks, but never together. Apparently, the males and females of this species live in different habitats. 

I guess that’s true for many human couples as well.
