layers upon layers, reflexions and shadows
life is not a walk in the park in China, to quote the friend blipper anjaklemensek.
but if we think of the traditional Chinese park, is a walk in it actually meant to be easy? winding paths are so designed as to reveal a new scenery at every bend. lattice windows cut the view in a patchwork of small pictures to assure you that the whole is not just the sum of its fragments. shrubs in the foreground are backwalled with taller bushes that hide in the shadow of the canopy of trees creating the effect of mountainous terraces. ponds glitter of lights on the surface and goldfish tails in the deep.
just when you think you got to know someone, they shift their appearance.
