Late Blip - Again!

Would you believe that I was in bed, having an early night because I have been up since 3am, and I remembered my Blip - at exactly the same time as last night! Picked up the camera just as the clock flipped to 8:49.

Long day today. Up at 3am for an appointment at the Immigration department in New Orleans. Not too far to drive at 220 miles each way, but the appointment was 8am. I could have stayed in a hotel - but even then I'd still have to be out at 6am. 3 hours sleep for $50+? Not worth it.

So left bright and early and headed down I-10 for NOLA.

I checked a map before I left so knew where the building was that I had to go. But I got the wrong side of the Interstate! Doh. 25 minutes later I worked out how to get on the south side of I-10!

Ended up an hour early - 4th person at the processing centre, and by a bit of dubious form filling ended up with the first appointment of the day. Apparently if you can print your name on a bit of paper (plus a few other numbers) quickly you can get back to reception and hand in the paperwork first and get the first appointment of the day! Which really really annoyed the pushy Spanish bunch that were trying to get in and out as quick as they could.

So they took my fingerprints again (I think this is the third time in my immigration process), and off I went.
