Fine dining

Today's highlight was dinner at The Tollhouse with L and Mr A. Colourful and tasty food in a pleasant ambience right by the Water of Leith, where it was a pleasure to sit by an open window. Spring was definitely with us today.

We have here: left to right, top to bottom:
amuse bouche of humous; asparagus; ham hock
cod starter with beetroot; scallops; lamb
hake; roasted pineapple; white chocolate creme

I had a full day of meetings and get togethers, chairing interviews in the afternoon. It was a pleasure to meet up with a variety of academic colleagues and friends, and I even managed to talk about some stuff that was not the day to day challenges. But they were never far in the background.
