El Tunel

I managed to sleep until after 9am today. I definitely needed it! After a leisurely breakfast, Mr P set off on his travels again (back tomorrow evening). He’s meeting up with an old school chum, who’s currently walking the French Camino, in Burgos a town a few hours from here. I think his friend is really struggling so hopefully Mr P’s visit will help. It was sunshine and showers here today but cooler than the last couple of weeks so sadly not beach weather. I spent the afternoon catching up with the new seasons of Bridgerton and Firefly Lane on Netflix. I did venture out in the evening including a walk through this tunnel which was built in 1863 under the local hill. It was supposed to lead to a port but because of sea storms, the port was never finished and the tunnel only leads to a rocky beach and sea viewing area now. Apparently during the Spanish Civil War, the tunnel was used as a refuge for the town.
Watching the first Eurovision Semi Final tonight. Looking forward to Saturday’s Final.
