Christmas in May

This morning was beautifully sunny and warm. I had a u3a committee meeting and town then did some shopping. About 1:15 it started to rain, thunder and lightning, then heavier, more torrential rain followed by hail. The hail lasted for about 15 minutes and the drive was covered.
Some ladies coming to my crochet group said the roads were hairy!
Even as they arrived close to 2:30 the hail was lying still as you can see :) BIZARRE!
