Granny’s Bonnet

Or Aquilegia or Columbine etc. We have lots of this in our garden at the moment. It’s taking over a bit in some places, but I do quite like it and it stops the weeds! What’s not to like? :)) 

This morning I was busy doing executor duties and this afternoon have been visiting my parents for the first time in a fortnight. Everyone has now tested negative for Covid so we felt it was safe to visit them without the risk of it being shared amongst us again. 
Mum seems quite good but says she struggles with energy, but then she is over 80 now and not as young as she was. She has had a hard time accepting this fact over the past year or two. Dad wasn’t too good after not sleeping much last night, which is quite unusual for him. He normally sleeps like a log. He spent the whole three hours sleeping in his new reclining chair that arrived today - at least he must be finding it comfortable! With no particular pain or symptoms other than tiredness, I hope he was just catching up on the sleep he missed and still recovering from Covid. 

No time for photography apart from a little wander around the garden this evening - left it a bit late really and there weren’t many bees/insects about so once again it’s just a flowery offering.
