The Kinks

Their song Sleeping In The Midday Sun came to mind when I saw this .... although it was a couple of hours early.

At one point when I looked out the window there was somebody  watching me. He didn't seem in the slightest bothered by me. He moved over to the grass and continued to watch me ... until the grass bent a bit more and he started sliding towards the water - then he jumped back, grabbed a beak full of nesting material, looked at me as if to say "I meant to do that" and flew off.

After hanging out the washing, I brought in another lethal Mahonia leaf and took some pictures. 5 of them are over here.
