Brave

A lovely sunny day today. There were lots of families on the beach doing - what families do on the beach. There they were in their shorts and swimsuits, lying in the sun, playing ball, digging sandcastles. But it was deceptive: the air temperature didn't climb much above 14 degrees C and even the slight breeze could quickly chill you.

As for the sea, the water temperature was (apparently) 10 degrees C - far too cold for me to consider going in, even with a wetsuit. Am I just getting old? There were plenty of (younger) people prepared to brave it, as this picture shows.

A lovely day, though. Spent some time sitting in the sun (with a couple of layers on) reading a book: that's real relaxation.
