They’re at their best in this small local woodland, one of the best places to see a fine display. The path through the woods is sunken giving an eye level perspective which you would have to lie down to achieve. Their scent was divine.

We thought we were due a dowsing today. It went further north and gave much of the rest of the country a soaking bank holiday. We’re due a soaking over night.

We went to see Doreen this afternoon. Somehow both her hearing aids have been lost by the care home over the weekend. The care home lost one a few weeks ago and had to pay to have it replaced. If they cannot be found it’s going to be double the cost. The absence of hearing aids made it a difficult visit.
