Sunday

A busy day. Spent the afternoon at the British Library, next to St Pancras Station (main blip).

Apart from the first verse of A Hard Day's Night, scribbled on an old notepad, the exhibit that most excited me was The Magna Carta.  It quite something to see it in the flesh, so to speak.  I was shocked to read that of the 64 original clauses first set out in 1215AD, only 4 now remain enshrined in law  Over the years, various monarchs - and a few Popes - have crossed the others out.  See extra for one of the remaining clauses.

In the evening, went to see a David Hockney immersive exhibition at Coal Drops Yard, behind Kings Cross Station.  See extra.

Fabulous, with a great commentary by the man himself.  Highlight for me was his take on photography - especially his own photo-montages - which he called '"drawing with a camera."

See Anniemay for more.
