Soor Plooms

Those of us with dental problems will probably remember that Scottish confectionery known as Soor Plooms. They along with Pineapple Chunks are responsible for many a broken tooth. Today, in Olu Deniz, I found these. We discovered a few years ago that in Turkey, rock hard, green, unripe plums are a real delicacy. I tried one once, never again! So here we have the original soor plooms.
Today the sun shone and I swam the pool had warmed up sufficiently for a semi-hardy Scottish flower (me) to brave the water. As they always say, it wasn't so bad once I got in! In fact I braved the water 5 times and loved it. I feel my holiday is now complete.
We popped down to Hissaronu to the Post Office to send the post cards I bought the other day. Unfortunately there were no stamps **!!?? **. They told me I had to go to Fethiye, or they would have some tomorrow. On seeing the steam coming out of my ears, the nice man offered to take them for me today. I had asked if I could pay them and they could put the stamps on for me when they got them but this, hopefully, seems a much better solution. My duty is done, if you don't get a postcard from me, I have the perfect excuse.
I bought some mulberries in the market while we were there and will pack them very carefully to bring home. I don't think either of my girls or their families have ever tasted them. Hand luggage I think for those.
