The real Downton Abbey....

Today has been ace!

We got up to smiling kinders (not quite how we left them at bed time last night!!) and headed off to the Game and Country Fair at Highclere Castle (aka Downton Abbey).

It was brilliant.... we saw

- Punch and Judy - hilarious listening to Charlie giggle at the slapstick!
- The Medieval Knights of Middle England (Lord Highclere won!!)
- Terrier Racing (chasing Cyril the Squirrel!!)
- Lots and lots of people wearing their country outfits trying to look as though they fit in!!! (hilarious from an anthropological perspective especially when the weather did not warrant full barbour and wellies (shorts and flip flops would suffice!!)

And in all of that the camera hardly came out!!!! So instead, you must make do of the programme (with DA and Lord Highclere on the front cover!!)

More palaces tomoz - this time to Blenheim to meet my dear friend Rachel and her littles (she is going to be one of AG's godparents :-))
