Well done!

JC had signed up (with 15 work colleagues) to do a fundraising cycle ride for Maggies.  (Maggies are amazing charity providing free cancer support.  They have a fabulous centre based at the Royal Marsden which is a tranquil oasis in the midst of a busy hospital.  Architect designed with a beautiful garden, where we have spent a few hours drinking tea and eating biscuits, in between appointments).  However, I digress.  JC cycled around 50 miles and the team raised around £7000 for this worthwhile charity.  We met them half way round and then again at the pub at the end of the route.  The sun was shining and we spent a very happy few hours chatting and socialising with friends and family who had come to support the ride.

What a lovely day (only slightly spoilt in the last five minutes when OH cut his head putting some stuff back in the car and the M20 being closed necessitating a detour on the way home).  So lovely to see No.1 relaxed and smiling although rather tired at the end of the afternoon and relieved that BBQ plans were cancelled.
