Farm Worker

Blast from the past. Looking through pictures as packing and this is one from a collection of farm worker images I took back in the late seventies and the United Farm Worker Grape boycott . The days of Cesar Chavez and not eating iceberg lettuce / grapes til the farm workers union won very hard earned rights.
Farm workers have worked in poor conditions , lived in poor housing and been exposed to an abundance of pesticides. Any and all improvements have been won by boycotts, reaching out and winning moral victories to sustain better conditions.
