Picnic In The Park

To celebrate the coronation of King Charles III, the town council organised today’s Picnic In The Park. I think the whole of the town turned up, making the most of the sunshine, after yesterday’s wash out of a day. There was music, market stalls and a variety of activities for children.

Thanks to the amazing K&E, we were able to get Dad down to the park as he was very keen to listen to the music performances on the bandstand. Despite feeling as rough as old boots, I made it as well and we had a lovely couple of hours soaking up the atmosphere, along with some bubbles and ice cream, and the cuddly company of Ivy and Ronnie. Back home, it was straight back to the settee and the paracetamols.
