Wobbly moonshot

After a delicious fish dinner the moon rose through the coastal pineta and shone down on the Mare Tirrenica.

A fitting end to a day that saw us all making fine purchases at the big open air Saturday market in Castiglione delle Pescaia.

Knifes, throws, belts, table cloth and rug not to mention my last of the line cherry print linen tea towel. Fruit, salami, cheese.

And a half bulb of aglione- a special mild big garlic grown in the Val di Chiana which is used to make, according to the man, a dish called Pici al aglione.

Pici are a large spaghetti between spaghetti and macaroni pronounced peeCHEE.
