Determined in York

Spent the afternoon in sunny York.

Our first port of call was Goddards, the former home of Noel Terry of the famous chocolate making firm "Terry's of York."

We then went into the city centre for a coffee and some shopping.

The photo was taken at the side of the Ouse near Tower Street as two very tiny goslings were escorted through an opposing flow of busy pedestrian traffic by two very determined parents.

The determination of the parents succumbed however to the occasional morsel of food from customers at the adjacent riverside cafe.
