The lad had his day as a small-town hero, scoring the first two of Bonnyrigg Rose's goals in the 3-0 win that keeps them in Scottish League 2. After scoring his second goal, he took off his shirt and flexed his physique to the stands, and after the final whistle he spent ages posing for photos with the kids who had invaded the pitch. He even gave me a high-five as he finally left the pitch.

Much more entertaining than my other option today... that of going to the republican demonstration in Edinburgh.
