Oxenber and beyond

Well, what can I say.. After all the anxiety Fletch did him self proud.
A cool morning which was perfect as we didnt want Fletch ( or us) to get overheated. As we set of the Dusty cart track and looked at the distant hill I doubted that we would manage our planned walk. But after about half an hour Fletch seemed to get a second wind and was bouncing ahead of us.
The hills surrounding us were hazy but still looked wonderful . It was too early for the bluebells but there were wild primroses everywhere. So lovely.
When we reached the first high stone stile we prepared to lift Fletch up but he bounced up as if hed done it every day  What an amazing dog , he never fails to amaze me.

As we reached the other side we saw PenY Ghent in the distance.. that would have been a challenging  walk.
After a stop for coffee and cake we took the lower ancient  path through tall stone walls that are so typically Yorkshire. The sun came out at just the right time.
It was a perfect day.

I expected Fletch to be exhausted but he was still eager to go for his 'teatime walk.' I'm so happy
