Tearing out the mall

The downtown pedestrian mall is being removed to make way for a lane of one-way traffic. I think it's a terrible move. This small town had a pedestrian mall! How wild is that? And now it's being removed to make it car-friendly. Booo.

There will still be wide sidewalks and outdoor seating for restaurants, but it was so much better before. See photos here and here.
