Pretty in Pink

This is one of my favourite rhododendrons just coming in to bloom. I love the way the buds change from a deep fuchsia to the palest frothy pink.

I've spent the afternoon trawling round the local garden centres looking for inspiration for the front garden. It's completely gravelled over, so any plants have to be in pots and fairly large ones at that if they're not to look lost! Unfortunately, large plants plus large pots equals loadsamoney!! I've had to settle for a couple of large Cordyline and another pink rhododendron for now, but it still looks rather empty.

My husband will be planting up his obelisks with sweet peas soon and they will look lovely in time, so I'll just have to be patient:-)
