North York Moors Railway
It was looking to be a rainy day today, so we decided to take a trip in the North York Moors Railway to Pickering and back. Beautiful scenery, mainly pulled by a gorgeous steam train, and the sun even came out in the afternoon. The bits of the line which are shared with Network Rail need reliability, so the steam engine was swapped for a diesel to haul us. I’m channeling my inner Chris (who is still looking after the convalescent cat at home) here with the Blip, as he much prefers diesel engines to steam. Odd boy.
