Flower Friday

I took the bus into Exeter this morning, my main task was to collect my earrings, one of which had broken. I also bought some underwear for my mother in law. There were some heavy showers while I was in Exeter and I walked down to the quay where I found this cerinthe púrpurascens. 
When I arrived home my husband told me that one of the great tits had flown the nest but he found it on the ground. It made its way into a corner, then he moved it near the nest box where the parents were still going in and out but it was being ignored so I will no doubt find it tomorrow morning. Its tail hadn’t grown so it should have stayed put with its siblings.
