Road Trip

Jude, Tracey, Pat and I set off just after 7am for a mini trip to Anglesey.

First stop was Beaumaris where we had tea and tea cakes or scones in a tea shop, a mooch around the shops and a walk along the front in the sunshine.

We then went on to Moelfre for a walk along the headland. My auntie had a holiday home there (oh, I wish they never sold it) and I had a wishful look at it. I love it round Moelfre. I used to swim off the old lifeboat slipway. We had tea and cake in a tea shop before heading to our next stop…

Cemaes Bay! Oh I have so many happy memories from there. All my childhood holidays were spent at the bungalow my grandparents owned. I love it there. We had a walk into the village and along the big beach and little beach. I had to go onto the harbour for old times sake too. I had to have a swim. Tracey was determined to give cold water swimming a go and she loved it. I stayed in for a while as the sea was perfect. I then had a little play with my new drone and took a few pics of the beach.

We drove on to Holyhead where we bought fish and chips to eat by the sea. It is the law to have this, isn’t it :) we stayed in a little hotel for the night. Holyhead wouldn’t be my first choice to stay but it was geographically perfect for an east coast today and a west coast tomorrow. We were stuffed after the fish and chips so we had a little walk and watched the sea mist roll in as the fog horn moaned.

Tracey had made me a phenomenal birthday cake and we managed to fit a piece in before bed.

What a fabulous day. Tomorrow I’ll be a year older :(
