Brancaster beach
We left home at 6.30am, stopped for coffees and to eat our packed breakfast, arrived here, unpacked and were on the beach shortly after 10.30am. It was sunny and bright and we had a good walk along the beach - Gavin was fiddling round with his drone while I walked up the creek to see the seals, there were at least 40 lying there on the sand banks of the creek. By the time we left the beach, dark clouds had rolled in and it started raining as we got to the car. It was pleasantly warm all day today, I think it is finally feeling like spring.
Gavin then got on with work, while I waited for the groceries to be delivered. It stopped raining after lunch and so in the afternoon I took Xena out again for another walk. It was once again sunny with blue skies, see extra of the boats at low tide.
Luke is driving to Cambridge after work to fetch Tommy and Inca, and as Adam is playing in a rugby match - it's the inter-college final and his college made it to the final - they are going to watch his match and then all come to Brancaster after the match. It will be a late night for them as the rugby only finishes at about 9.30pm.
I am surprised at the lack of bunting and decorations here for the coronation. For the jubilee last year there were decorations everywhere. I hope to watch some of the coronation on TV tomorrow, I do love a British royal spectacle of pomp and circumstance.
