I wonder where?

About 15 years ago I paid 2 pounds for this sign in an architectural yard in Penrith, Cumbria.  The seller had no idea where it came from which was a pity and also why it was cheap!  I liked the sign work and the name.  I once got a lift from Scotch Corner to Fort William with a driver who lived in Halfpenny House near Peterborough and always liked the name.

I was raking around in the garage this afternoon and discovered my long forgotten purchase.
