Dandelions...

...at the seaside...

A damp morning, with an improving forecast, so we had coffee at "home" and an early lunch. 

Caught the Metro to Whitley Bay this aft and walked back.
Detoured via Maughan's, Roy's favourite shop in Whitley Bay, for a few bits and bobs, and then via Beaches & Cream in Cullercoats for coffee and a cheese scone. Sat outside as the sun was doing its best by then, and the sea fret gradually burnt off. 

Paused on the benches by The Grand to watch the surfers - savage amusement, as they were mainly paddling out and falling off after a short stand. One or two managed longer than a few seconds - but it was hardly "surf's up" ;)
