Early Strawberry

A wonderful day, cooked a gorgeous roast dinner (if I do say so myself!), with crispy roast potatoes with a soft fluffy inside.. mmm... what some more now!

We ate in the garden and I have to confess the white wine went down very well in the sunshine! :-D

I was going to post a blip of the blue tits going backwards & forwards from their nest box, but then MIL spotted this gorgeous catepillar which I instantly recognised having blipped one about 2 years ago.

It is a Lackey moth (Malacosoma neustria) and is common across southern Britain and central Europe. Malacosoma species are notable for their caterpillars which are brightly coloured and form silken tents to regulate their temperature. Malacosoma neustria caterpillars are brown with blue, orange and white stripes. The adults are a fairly uniform brown. The larvae feed mainly on trees and shrubs from within their tents" (Thanks Wiki)
