The flea market mademoiselle

Had to show who was boss today. HICOF (her in charge of food) took off up the track this morning expecting me to follow. Well it just wasn't going to happen until she finally returned to heel where she'd left me. I put her on the lead and then galloped off up the hill, past the evil hunting dogs, till she was out of breath. That will show her. But it was a good walk, saw kestrel, jay and buzzard and ran into a butterfly orgy - never seen so many randy things in my life. She left me sulking and went off for her first trip out alone - to the flea market - and returned safely quite soon because the weather has changed, the sun is out and the wind has died to a gentle breeze and she wanted to enjoy it at home. Good thing I didn't go in the car or I should have been baked alive in the sunny spot she had to park in. I must say, she managed the left hand drive and automatic like a pro - but don't tell her I said so! Had another two hour walk this evening in amongst the vines where she collected a couple of 10 inch long fossils of giant mussels. There is a whole hill that seems to be made up of them but now I'm almost ready for bed - HICOF has stamina and she's got a glass of the red in the hand, again!
