Elise's First Valais

A beautiful sunny day and evening, but a chilly wind.  Warm in the lea.

Up early, headed down Laura's after breakfast.  Popped by mam's, they got back today but only dad home.  Late morning and afternoon in the peat hill, and finished my casting.  Mam popped by the hill for lunch, then dad popped by to check up on things.  Walkies with Sammy, nipped into see Madeline.  Working in the shop this evening, and a steady night of customers.  More walkies, now feet up.

Much excitement this morning, Elise's sheep, Winehouse, gave birth to a lamb early.  A peerie (little) ram lamb, and a cross of his mam, a Shetland ewe and his dad being a Valais blacknose.  Very much taken after his dad curly fleece and black nose, but has moorit (a shade of brown) lugs from his mam.  He is the sweetest lamb, hope the next one is as cute.  This is defo the best new breed I've seen.  Elise was in a Maths exam this morning, hopefully get a photo with the lambs soon.  Taken at mam's croft, Aith, Cunningsburgh.
