Sunshine and umbrellas at the garden centre.

After a morning of community service (not the enforced sort that offenders sometimes do) I had lunch and waited for another parcel delivery. That’s the last for a long time. I think I’ve got a bargain.

Then I went to the garden centre just to look around. I need more plants for my red/orange/yellow area. Decided that those I saw cost more than I was prepared to pay. An orange lily was £8 and the small print on the back of the label said ‘may flower next year’. A few weeks ago I bought a small red lupin for £4. It’s now the same size as those being sold for £9.

I noticed the rose display being stocked with lots of plants bearing names with Royal connections. Perhaps they’re hoping that the Coronation will boost sales.
