Poppy Anemone

I finally got a shot of one that wasn’t damaged by the wind.
Another quiet day here. A short walk in Hamilton wood this morning, which was a total joy. The sun was shining and there was a slight breeze. We saw 3 Roe deer, and listened to some great birdsong, including a willow warbler, a blackcap and a thrush which I haven’t noticed before. The beech trees are covering themselves in beautiful fresh lime green leaves and the scent of the gorse was heavenly.
Marvin came round and laid four slabs for me. I was going to do it myself, but my eldest son told me I was crazy! He had to trim a tiny bit off each slab with the electric stone saw, and then they fitted perfectly. I’m delighted with the job.
