Gorges de la Carança

Today's walk was not particularly long, only 10 kilometres but it was quite arduous given that there were 750 metres of ascent over very rough and steep terrain. The ground wars very rocky and sometimes the rocks were hidden under dried leaves that were knee deep. There were also ladders and footbridges and walkways on the rock face to navigate. Consequently it took us six and a half hours. There was a café at the end so we were able to have drinks and ice creams. It a hike of remarkable beauty but there were not too many people in the gorge given that it is early in the season and mid week.
