Yellow And Blue

Well it has to be done…the magnificent yellow of the rape flowers and a bit of blue sky with lovely wispy clouds. The bright daylight has helped get a true yellow colour in the image…my previous attempts in dull light left the yellow looking very dreary!

I walked 5.5 miles this morning- a beautiful spring (almost summery) day. Spotted so many wild flowers…the cow parsley is blooming well (hogweed is sprouting well, but not yet flowering), also bluebells, cowslips, wood anemones, more stitchwort as well as hawthorn blossom which is now taking over from blackthorn in the hedges.

I have spent a good chunk of the day in the garden….strimming paths and edges and cleaned the patio furniture and the barbecue…weather permitting we are entertaining the children and grandchildren on Saturday afternoon…
