Lilioceris lilii

Better known probably as scarlet lily beetle, red lily beetle, or lily leaf beetle (in Germany as Lilienkäfer).
Eight years ago Walking Wombat started a challenge called May Macro Mayhem. The idea was to present the world with beautiful macro images.
A month later, 2nd June 2015, started the Tiny Tuesday challenge, with #1 in this still active series. A week later Walking Wombat wrote: "it was more like 2mm in diameter.  When I looked closely at the flower today I honestly could not see any of the fine detail of the stamens with the naked eye.  That's the magic of macro for me."
I fully agree with her, Macro is Magic!
