I went to some local woodland with a friend this afternoon. The idea was to photograph the bluebells but very few were properly out. The stitchwort was though! We also saw a few early purple orchids but they were too far away from the path to photograph with the lenses we had with us.

We also spotted a hornet, probably just out of hibernation. It was HUGE!
