Veggie food group “picnic”

I hosted our U3A veggie food group today. The theme was picnic food which we thought we’d be having outside in the garden but it was far too cold.

Unfortunately it was all a bit pastry-based but nevertheless very tasty and as nobody left till 5pm the chat was good too - climate crisis, electric cars, (pros and cons) passive houses, (pros and cons), new kitchens, (pros and cons), family weddings, Covid (!) walks in the area, ferries to Europe, visa requirements, food (we are foodies) and restaurants, situations when we’ve been mugged/robbed, litter and more.

I’m going to binge-watch the rest of Blue Lights - Mr C decided after a slow start it wasn’t for him but I’m hooked.

Looks like we have a problem getting our van to some Balkan countries (planned for September) as our insurance doesn’t cover some and won’t do an add-on insurance.
