Mighty Joe

Every morning on our bus route we pass this handsome fellow. His name is Mighty Joe and he stands in the parking lot of a restaurant of the same name. The owners of the restaurant had a son nicknamed Mighty Joe for his wrestling ability. He passed away as a very young man from a cancerous brain tumor. The family was able to purchase the giant ape from an amusement park and he stands along the highway as a monument to their son.
