Edinburgh Marathon

And they are off..... the first runners over the start line, looking energetic, full of hope and ready for the long slog ahead. A cycle out to Musselburgh to see the fastest runners coming back in sub 3 hours while the last runners are slowly moving past the 10 mile mark. Many will have trained properly and taken in the right nutrition but many more wont see the end of this race and could end up with long term injuries. Well done to all the runners who got out there today for the half, relay and full marathon. Do I wish I was running the marathon ...... absolutely not - I saw the pain on the faces of those finishing and I remembered Loch Ness oh so well.
