A visit to the Faerie Glen

We stopped off at the Faerie Glen before catching the boat from Uig on Skye to Tarbert on Harris. Mr hazelh perfects his hobbit pose atop one of the little mounds.

The fairies granted our wish to see porpoises from the ferry. As a bonus, they also magicked up my student Patrick (of the prize-winning poster fame) and his girlfriend as travelling companions. I had recommended to Patrick that a trip to the Outer Hebrides was well worth the effort, but I didn't expect that his plans to cross from Skye to Harris would end up coinciding with ours.
