MonoMonday: Tradition

"What's a funny fish doing as my representation of Tradition?", you may ask!

Well, when I was growing up we had very organised days, and it was a family tradition for the fishmonger to call on a Monday (so we always had fish for lunch on a Tuesday). The greengrocer came on Tuesdays and Fridays, etc, etc - you get the idea.

So I needed a fish for my blip. We didn't have any handy, until I thought of this fishy soft toy belonging to Grandson Paddy. It's multi-coloured which made for lots of contrast when photographed in black-and-white. I took the shot on a wooden table and applied a wave effect to the background. Blip sorted!

Many thanks to ApolloFly for hosting Mm this month.
