Post-COVID treat

With Helen away in central America, I had been planning a trip away to south Cheshire to do Crewe parkrun and watch my first Crewe home game since before the first COVID lock-down. Contracting COVID last weekend wasn't part of the plan, but fortunately I did a negative test yesterday and felt able to travel (cautiously keeping my distance from other passengers, patrons, etc, just in case....).

Once in Crewe, I had a pint in the Hops and then another (Weaver Las Vegas!) in the Market Hall, courtesy of the Crewe Dog.

Crewe seems more rundown than ever - lots of boarded-up/empty shops. I walked from the town centre out to the Premier Inn on the western side of the town. Ate in the Rising Sun down the road.
