Lily of the valley

Today is May day and a bank holiday. Around 300 demonstrations are taking place all over France with estimates of up to one and a half million people demonstrating. Today is the day that friends and loved ones exchange a lily of the valley. The tradition goes back a long way. This lily went to some friends who had done us a favour. I have had a quiet day today after the rigours of yesterday’s tennis. There were only three of us at art group this afternoon which made it both quiet and relaxing.
