Lilac time

The last day of April and the lilac has begun to bloom, although I have not yet smelled its scent.  Our  lilac shrubs all died off a few years ago, along with several other shrubs that have never reappeared, but the lilac did, rising like a phoenix from the ashes!  Let us hope that that the unseasonably cool weather doesn't do for it!
In other news: my eyes continue to recover and I am feeling less allergic.  Today Mr MC and I began to tackle the former garage, now a store room, and put many things to one side either for the charity shop or the recycle centre.  As the latter now has to be booked to visit we can no longer go when the mood takes us but have to plan it.
