Another Coronation

Came across an old biscuit tin whist packing things from a cupboard in the spare room this afternoon. Couldn't resist peeking inside and found this, among several other interesting things.

It was presented to my mother, then aged 12, to commemorate the Coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth in 1937. The Extra shows the beginning of the Foreword. How times have changed!

Spent an hour or so with Jacqui and her friend Janet this afternoon. Jacqui looks so much better, thank goodness!
Good to speak with Lucy this evening before she flies off first thing tomorrow morning to SW France for a couple of months.
